The Plant in Your Hand
Production figures, machine status, alarms and key process values are published to a secure web interface that works on a phone as well as a control room screen. A supervisor walking the line, or a manager away from site, sees the same live numbers the operator sees, without asking anyone to read them out.
Reports That Write Themselves
Shift and daily reports are generated from the same data the control system records, so the production figure on the report is the figure the plant actually made. Nobody retypes numbers into a spreadsheet, and the historical record is available whenever a question comes up weeks later.
